Quietly on Earth, Hilda has always known there is magic in the world, along with much, much more. Her great aunt had stopped her from being afraid of her abilities, but she hadn’t been ready to embrace them.
Now she’s alone in the world aside from a roommate with a questionable taste in men and ambition. She had faith in her shielding abilities, but she’s come to realize her skills alone are no longer enough.
In realms divided, Leberecht has spent centuries searching for the gate key hidden away centuries ago. He’s finally granted an invitation to the mortal realm, an invitation he’ll readily accept. However, he’ll make a quick stop first to ensure the mortals, who opened the portal, don’t attempt any further demon summoning.
Little does Hilda know, Leberecht has been stalking her from the other side for quite a while. Almost immediately, she’s pulled headlong into his quest.
While Leberecht enjoys having Hilda at his side, he struggles with the need to keep his mate safe. Hilda may have fallen in love with the hellhound that fell into the summoning circle, but that doesn’t mean her heart will be big enough to accept the multiple facets of his nature. Half of which, she has been raised to fear.
